Dominatrix Mommies
Recently, in my quest to evaluate the societal imbalances between men and women, I’ve been focusing on moms and dads … the parents that are family heads. I suppose it depends, but in most cases it appears that mom, not dad, is the head parent in full control. No surprise there, but control not just of the kids.
I’m not talking control in the privacy of home only, as we know mom rules there, with few exceptions. I’m talking full-family, in-public domination in full view, whether it’s McDonald’s, a museum, or grandma’s. It might be mom’s subtle glare or twist of her mouth, but usually it’s unabashed, blatant control … as our dominatrix mommies lay down the rules and directions in our American culture. Our out-in-public, second class dads simply confirm and abide.
Thus, I feel the only private thing missing from our dads’ public attire are the handcuffs.
