Brain Power

When my now grown daughter was 4 or 5, she was an old soul and always concerned about any upcoming function, such as a school event, test, etc. That is, she was always worried that her “brain wouldn’t work properly,” and wouldn’t be able to absorb and learn what she needed. So, in moments like that, I would give her “brain power,” which, she claimed, did the trick. Simply, I’d put one hand over my forehead (my brain) and put my other hand over her forehead (her brain), thus, the “transferring of brain power” from an adult-dad to a child-daughter. It always seemed to work, and, thus, early “mind” over matter, if you will.
